March 8th is International Women’s Day, a terrific reason to gather together for some songs, stories, laughter and comfort, this year, the 3rd annual celebration at Hotel Cafe. Joining the festivities are 3-time host, Gena B. Jones, who will be doing two short sets of standup comedy, along with musical performances from Leeann Skoda, Sie Sie Benhoff, Hannah Avison, Maybellene Ryder, MYKEL, Ryann Barnes, Dutch artist KIA and Japanese drum sensation YOYOKA. IWD’s official slogan for 2025 is “Accelerate Action.” We’ll be doing so by spotlighting several women-run/focused charities including VoteRunLead, supporting candidates and leaders of today and tomorrow, and The 100 Percenters whose mission is to empower and uplift music creatives, with a particular focus on BIPOC and marginalized communities, by providing them with essential resources, support, and education, ensuring that they have equal access to opportunities and revenue streams.
