CELIA is grieving. The Chicago-born singer/songwriter, known for her honest and cutting lyricism over moody pop production, is gearing up for the release of her first EP, Stages.
Based on the five stages of grief, the EP spans the emotional turmoil of loss in many forms, playing from nostalgia to desperation to the promise of future happiness. On the first single, “If I Could,” out June 28, 2024, we’re thrown into the midst of grief that CELIA wishes never was over a pop-rock beat reminiscent of the sounds of Fiona Apple and Alanis Morissette.
