Elinor Drue is a genre bending pop artist, singer, and songwriter.
Originally from New York and now based in Los Angeles, Elinor grew up compulsively writing poetry and performing as a dancer before channeling her artistry into music. Her vocal training broadened her songwriting, diving into soul, rock, and pop; Elinor’s melodies weave vivid, intimate, and powerfully evocative stories.
An intuitive performer, she paired her NYU Tisch education with a nightly gig at infamous Lower East Side hotspot The Box, and began playing her music to crowds in legendary staples such as SOBs, Arlene’s Grocery, and The Boom Boom Room. Her style has captured the attention of V Magazine, W, The Cut, and the NYFW main stage.
Formerly releasing music under pseudonym Drue de Milo, she independently amassed half a million streams on Spotify and YouTube.
Her self-directed music video was selected as a short film for the celebrated Maui Film Festival.
In 2024, Elinor Drue returned to the studio—embracing both her given name and a refined, ethereal sound with a backbone. She sights Human Nature-era Madonna, Dusty Springfield, and Leonard Cohen as influences, and her in words, “also James Bond.” Committed to the emotional truth of the moment, she hopes her music inspires listeners to indulge a fantasy.
