Feef Mooney began as a busker in Boston, playing subways with the likes of Mary Lou Lord and Tracy Chapman. Returning to Scotland, Feef (the nickname for Fjaere -“Fierra”) recorded with producer Jon Turner (“Cocteau Twins”) and signed to Zomba Music in London. She has worked since with Yamaha Music, Rondor Almo and Universal Music labels, but is now happily independent.

As a multi-instrumentalist, Feef has played and written for full rock bands, Americana and folk outfits and songwriter duos. Audiences describe her shows as “refreshingly vulnerable, honest and high energy.”

Special Friend TWO completes the sessions recorded with LA artists Fernando Perdomo and Chris Price, who co-produced, and will perform as part of this Hotel Cafe show.

Feef Mooney manages her own studio, The Bloomfield, where she records, coaches and produces music. She’s also been playing in LA with drummer Michael Collins and Fernando Perdomo in a power pop trio, the F Club, as well as participating in STILL THE SEARCHER, a Neil Young song project, with James and Esther Houlahan.
