Cited for her honeyed vocals and soulful melodies, New York native Gianna Alessi discovered her passion for songwriting while studying at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee School of Music. Raised in a household steeped in classical music, her opera singer grandmother gave her her first voice lesson. Yet, her unique blend of silky, R&B-laden pop is entirely her own.
With expansive, atmospheric vocals and an undeniable groove, her signature style has been showcased with Mondo NYC, Music Attic TV, Sofar Sounds, and more. Gianna has played venues across the country, drawing influences from neo-soul, pop, and R&B. Her versatile, sultry vocals shine through intricate harmonies, exploring themes of self-discovery, acceptance, and authenticity against a backdrop of warm, lush instrumentation.
Now based in LA, the sought-after artist and session singer is embracing a new city and working on her upcoming EP.
