Details

Under the dark and dreamy backdrop of Anchorage, Alaska, Singer-Songwriter Saga McAllister grew up in a uniquely eclectic music scene intersecting ska, indie rock, alternative, and hip-hop. From Bob Dylan to Damon Albarn to Tupac, they always found them self gravitating towards songwriters spanning genres – prompting them to begin writing songs from an early age. Inspired by their early rock influences (Paramore, Green Day, Fall Out Boy, The Beatles), Saga learned to sing, play guitar, and bass guitar as a means of putting structure to the melodies and lyrics they had been writing.

Saga competed in Kiwani’s Stars of Tomorrow, placing in the top two in 2019 and 2020. They are also an alumnus of the Open Jar Institute. Since then, Saga has released two independently produced EP’s (“ER!” and “Rodeo”) and was a member of the Denver-based indie rock band, Non-Dairy. They are currently attending the Musicians’ Institute in pursuit of sharpening their skills as a singer, songwriter, musician, and producer.
