Mike Hubbard never planned on becoming “Carly Rae Jepsen for dudes,” but the description stuck after Pagoda burst onto the scene. It fits: his electropop project delivers the same irresistible hooks and emotional sincerity, just filtered through a different lens.

Originally from Reading, PA and now calling New York City home, Hubbard writes and coproduces everything behind Pagoda – crafting synth-driven pop that balances clever lyrical turns with genuine feeling. The sound draws from the nostalgic production of The 1975, the tropical warmth of St. Lucia, and the songwriting chops of John Mayer, all while maintaining a distinct voice of his own.

The indie pop world took notice when the debut debut single “Hurdles” landed on Spotify’s coveted “Indie Pop” Editorial Playlist. His latest track “Armageddon Girl,” a wry take on finding love at the end of the world, has continued building momentum on streaming platforms.

In a scene crowded with bedroom producers making sad bangers, Pagoda stands out by remembering that pop music should be fun – even when it’s breaking your heart.

Thanks, and looking forward to this!
