Join us this August as Slasher Summer '26 continues with a special anniversary celebration featuring Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon.

Presented as a documentary following an up-and-coming preparing for the biggest night of his career, Behind the Mask cleverly pulls back the curtain on the genre we all know and love. Scream might've taught us the rules to survive. Behind the Mask teaches us the rules on how to be a slasher. It's Horror, Comedy, and a love letter to classic slashers. And with Behind the Mask 2: The Return of Leslie Vernon finally in the works, there's never been a better time to revisit this cult favorite or experience it for the very first time.

To celebrate it's 20th anniversary, we'll be having Leslie Vernon himself, Nathan Baesel as a special in-person guest to answer all your questions, plus more surprise!

As if that wasn't enough, this month also marks The VHS Society's 2nd Anniversary, and we couldn't think of a better movie or a better community to celebrate with. So stick around after the movie to hang out, mingle and talk all the things horror with us. Two years of horror, friendships, sold-out screenings, and awesome indie filmmaking... and we're just getting started.
