the prohibition is a solo musical outlet of Grammy nominated and multi award winning writer, producer, artist, musician, and multi-instrumentalist, Rune Westberg. Rune was born in Denmark but lives and works in Los Angeles. With over decades of music making, he has written and produced for artists like Adam Lambert, Colbie Caillat, Sabrina Carpenter, Daughtry, Rachel Platten, and many more. His songs have been featured in numerous films and TV shows like Grey’s Anatomy, Californication, Suits, Shameless, and Vampire Diaries, and used in worldwide advertising campaigns including Coca-Cola, Adobe, Vince Camuto, and others.
the prohibition is an eclectic musical mix of influences from grunge to classic rock to singer/songwriter folk over indie pop and alternative rock. The lyrics are dark, thought provoking, sarcastic, and are never afraid to step on toes. The live show features Rune Westberg solo on guitars, harmonicas, beats, loops, and vocals. The music is energetic, intimate, and intense.
