The Hollywood Arts Collective, which a $120-million project which replaced a city-owned parking lot at 1633 N. Wilcox Avenue, consists of a 7-story building that will feature 151 units of affordable housing reserved for artists. The project includes a performing arts venue, arts galleries, rehearsal studios, and new office space that will serve as the western region headquarters for The Actors Fund. Another component of the project - the HGA-designed Arts Building - includes the galleries, rehearsal studios, and an 86-seat theater named for philanthropist Glorya Kaufman.

The Hollywood Arts Collective comprises two buildings that together will provide affordable space for arts and entertainment professionals to live, work and create in the heart of Hollywood; open new opportunities in creative careers for underserved youth in the neighborhood; and host the new Western Region Headquarters for the Entertainment Community Fund.

A culmination of 13 years of cultural planning and development by the Entertainment Community Fund, developers Thomas Safran & Associates and the City of Los Angeles Departments of Cultural Affairs, Housing and Transportation, as well as Councilmember Mitch O’Farrell, The Hollywood Arts Collective is designed to meet the affordable housing and space needs of Los Angeles’s cultural community and the economic and job development goals of Hollywood.
