Alli Dyer grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwest Virginia where her family has lived for generations. For the last decade, she has worked in entertainment and book publishing and now lives in Los Angeles. Strange Folk is her first novel.
To celebrate this novel about witches practicing folk magic in Appalachian Virginia, this will be a night of folk music from powerful local artists Amanda on the Moon, Nightbirds, Maddi Fraser, and JEMS, with a short reading from the book by the author.
Copies of Strange Folk will be available for purchase (and signing by the author!) from North Figueroa Bookshop at the event.
