Peppers to The Foo Fighters, Kanye West to Ringo Starr,
Grandmaster Recorders (GMR) was home to some of the icons
of the music industry between 1971–2016.

In 2021, we relaunched the space as three venues in one, the
Restaurant, Rooftop, and Studio71. Breathing new life while
continuing to honor the past.

Since opening, Grandmaster Recorders has created, curated
and hosted an incredible array of events. From intimate
gatherings to premieres of scale, GMR is a truly an adaptable
space that welcomes it all.

The Restaurant is the jewel of the crown, the heartbeat of
Grandmaster Recorders, where head chef Blake Shailes has
created a distinctive Australian flair of modern cuisine that
honors Italian heritage.
