Cookie Dough Dreams & Other Sweet Treats
Tag: Dining
Cookie Dough Dreams is a unique dessert shop that recently opened at Hollywood & Highland. It is located on the ground floor, adjacent to the TCL Chinese Theatres box office. The store’s main attraction is homemade cookie dough that can be consumed raw or baked. As foot traffic in Hollywood recovers to pre-pandemic levels, this new tenant will appeal to locals and tourists seeking a sweet treat while they stroll along the Walk of Fame.

Taking over the space formerly occupied by Randy’s Donuts, Cookie Dough Dreams is a Los Angeles-based company that started out catering its secret recipe to the motion picture and music industry. The company opened its first store to the public in June 2018 in Burbank.
The Hollywood store is the company’s second location. The eye-catching storefront features pastel-colored paints and an image of two crossed wooden spoons filled with cookie dough. The interior has a fun, youthful vibe to bring out the inner child in people of all ages. Floor space is minimal, but there is a padded bench seat designed to look like an ice cream sandwich.

The childhood dream of eating raw cookie dough has been turned into reality as customers can eat the brand’s exclusive recipe straight from the bowl. The company uses only pure, high quality, natural ingredients. There are gluten-free, sugar-free, and vegan options available.
The edible cookie dough is served scooped into a cup, just like ice cream. Prices range from $5.50 for the small to $7.50 for the large. There are several flavors, including Peanut Butter & Dough, Nutella, Salted Caramel Truffle, and Birthday Cake. A waffle cone can be substituted for the cup for an additional $1.50.
Customers can choose any of the premade doughs, or customize them. Chocolate Chip, Sugar Cookie, Brownie, and Classic include any two “mix-ins” for free. Otherwise, mix-ins are $1 each. The staff blends the creation in a stand mixer. Examples of mix-ins, or toppings, are chocolate chips, M&M’s, and rainbow sprinkles.
Soft serve and hand scooped ice cream are available a la carte or combined with cookie dough. “The Hollywood & Highland” is ½ cookie dough and ½ soft serve ice cream, while “The Lucy & Ethel” is ½ cookie dough and ½ ice cream.

In addition to the cookie dough, soft serve, and ice cream, there are many different specialties. For example, the “Cookie Dough Taco” includes a freshly made taco waffle cone, cookie dough, soft serve ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and rainbow sprinkles. Another specialty is the “Fried Cookie Dough Plate,” which consists of fried chocolate chip cookie dough, ice cream, and whipped cream.
Milk shakes, cookies, and cotton candy are also on the menu. Flavors and specialties rotate, so it is best to check with the store for availability. Delivery is available through Postmates.
Cookie Dough Dreams has taken the childhood fantasy of eating raw cookie dough and turned it into a unique brand offering a broad lineup of amazing desserts. The company has differentiated itself through both the product and the experience. The new store diversifies the Hollywood landscape, and brings a source of indulgent snacks to the neighborhood.
