Preservation Month - #ThisPlaceMatters

Tag: Historic Hollywood

May is National Preservation Month, and the hashtag #ThisPlaceMatters is the hallmark of a campaign started by the National Trust for Historic Preservation to highlight historic places and the stories they tell.  People are encouraged to celebrate places that are meaningful to them and to their communities.

A quick search of the hashtag #ThisPlaceMatters on social media reveals stunning photos and breathtaking buildings…however, the campaign is about more than just photography and architecture.  The goal of #ThisPlaceMatters is to spark an ongoing dialogue about the role of place and preservation in the story of our lives and ultimately, in the story of our communities.

During the month of May we celebrate the preservation efforts happening throughout the year to capture our stories through the historic places around us.  Join the conversation by posting a photo with the hashtag #ThisPlaceMatters, and let us know what places in Hollywood matter to you and why.
