About this Performance
One of the Hollywood Bowl’s most treasured annual traditions is back, this year, with Troupe Vertigo, the LA-based theatrical circus company “whose dizzying acts defy gravity and leave its lucky audiences in awe” (Los Angeles Times).
Combining their choreography and contortions with excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s ethereal Swan Lake ballet suite and the fervent Marche Slave, the performers share the stage with the orchestra and Chloé Dufresne—a Tchaikovsky specialist and former Dudamel Fellow who makes her Hollywood Bowl debut—during this unforgettable program.
The night begins dreamily with selections from Sleeping Beauty, and as always, comes down to an explosive finale with the 1812 Overture, accompanied by the USC Marching Band and our astounding fireworks show.
