The Hollywood Legion Theater is an integral part of the American Legion Post 43. The Post's 90-year-old Egyptian Revival-style Post building, including the theater, bar, outdoor deck, and event-ready rooms, has a total capacity of 1,500. A $6 million makeover of the building and theater, completed in 2019, upgraded facilities and capabilities while retaining the structure’s historical characteristics and charm. The renovation reflects the membership’s commitment to the future while acknowledging a storied past. Post 43 currently has a diverse and growing membership of 1,400 veterans, sons, and auxiliaries.

The 482-seat Legion Theater is the sole Hollywood theatrical venue owned and operated by veterans. With state-of-the-art digital projection, an acoustically optimized sound system, and 35mm and 70mm film projection capabilities, the theater also offers traditional movie concessions and special event catering. As one of the premier venues in Southern California, the Legion Theater has hosted nationally prominent events, including major studio premieres, screenings, and award shows.
