The Hollywood Partnership is committed to pruning and caring for the street trees in Hollywood, but when it’s nesting season – that work takes a pause. In the spring, we pass over trees where nests are observed and wait until the fall to complete the job. This year, with our scope now complete, we pruned over 750 trees. In addition to the aesthetic of a well-groomed urban forest, pruning trees also improves the health of our trees, helps mitigate the risk of limb loss, and helps to clear a safe path free of obstruction for pedestrians and vehicles.
