Spotlight On: Banh Oui

Tag: Dining

Banh Oui made the jump from a mobile operation to a brick and mortar restaurant in Hollywood over two years ago. Their signature Banh Mi sandwiches are loaded with fresh, tasty ingredients that keep customers coming back for more. The marriage of Vietnamese and French cuisine has become a Hollywood success story.

Founder Casey Felton believes in "community through food," and has purposefully sought out local farmers and vendors, especially those at the nearby Hollywood Farmers Market, to source her supplies. Now with the Covid pandemic, Banh Oui has bolstered it's retail section with even more goods that can be purchased to take home to your pantry.

"The thing about Banh Oui that was important for me, in even a fast casual concept which is what we are, was having the integrity of creating everything in house," Felton said. "From that, came our retail section, which is all the stuff that goes on our sandwiches.

"We started to create a community effort, and we're now supporting and giving greater to exposure to certain products... We're beginning to expand our retail section to include people that mean so much to our community and show up for our Sunday Farmers' Market, and now you can access to them throughout the week."
